Are You Feeding Your Fear?
FEAR has two meanings
“Forget Everything and Run
Face Everything and Rise” — Zig Ziglar
Fear is a natural thing to protect you from being hurt. Most fears arise from the fear of being judged, fear of being hurt, fear of failure or fear of what people think. Fear is programmed in such a way to protect you, but it also stops us from seeing things clearly because our mind is clouded by anxiety.
If you have been experiencing inaction due to fear and are not sure how to overcome it, this article is for you.
Why a healthy dose of Fear is good?
Over time, I learned to recognize that fear comes from a place of love. Fear protects you from being hurt and is a natural flight response when we feel unsafe. Fear is unlikely to go away and will be part of our journey of self-growth. To grow, we need to learn to find ways to embrace and accept our fear while moving forward.
Are you feeding your fear?
“The only thing we have to fear is fear itself” — Franklin Roosevelt.
It is easy to spiral down and circle in one’s own prison. The easy way out is by avoiding it.
However, the pain of inaction sometimes is more painful than the fear of taking actions. Here are the top 5 regrets of the dying, some of which are due to inaction caused by fear.
Embrace your fear!
The following affirmations are helpful whenever I feel paralyzed by fear, and I hope this will help you get out of your inner confined box.
